This Montana cabin rental, found north of Yellowstone National Park, and secluded on ranch land facing the Absaroka Mountains, is the most private retreat in Montana "Big Sky Country" rentals. The log cabin is located on the ranch of Western artists John and Karen Garre, just 5 miles from historic Livingston, MT. The rental has a vaulted ceiling and hardwood floors, a small dining area and fully equipped kitchenette with electric stove, microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, silverware, and pots and pans for cooking. Other amenities include: modern bathroom with shower and linens, lounging area with couch and dresser, heater, and fireplace.
Various Montana original and print art work adorn the cabin walls (for more information go to the artists' gallery website .) There's no cable or phone in the cabin – remember this is your private, peaceful getaway - but if you feel the need for noise, a TV/VCR combo with some old classics are available for screening. Otherwise, sit out on the porch and enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains all around – unmatched in most other cabin rentals - and don't be surprised if you see antelope grazing out front, or eagles flying overhead.
There's plenty to do during your stay at the cabin. The town of Livingston is 10 minutes away from the rental, offering dozens of restaurants, saloons, boutique shops, grocery markets and more. And if you're ready to take on Montana's wilderness - take a stroll in Sacajawea Park on the banks of the Yellowstone River, try your hand at fly-fishing, or drive through Paradise Valley to magnificent Yellowstone Park.
