Livingston Montana's Elegant and Contemporary Vacation Rental in Historic Downtown

This 1890s historical building has been converted into one of the area's most elegant and comfortable places for nightly, weekly or monthly lodging.  Award winner for historical restoration, Absaroka Guest House vacation rental provides a delightful blend of the charming past and modern style.  It truly is one of the best for Livingston lodging.

A few blocks from art galleries, coffee shops, dining, outfitters and shopping, Absaroka Guest House resides near the heart of downtown Livingston, while maintaining stand alone peace and quiet.  Guests can also easily walk to the Yellowstone River and Sacajawea Park.  Yellowstone National Park, the Paradise Valley, Bridger Bowl Ski Area and Bozeman are all in the immediate vicinity.

This unique rental has two stories plus a “wine room” den.  With original wood floors and brick and stone walls, Absaroka Guest House is spacious and luxurious.   It sleeps five comfortably, though with space for more.

The word doesn't translate.

It is used in Spanish to designate that mysterious little area in the bullring that catches the fancy of the fighting bull when he charges in. He imagines it his sanctuary:when parked there, he supposes he cannot be hurt...
So it is, borrowing the term, that one can speak of one's "querencia"to mean that little, unspecified area in life's arena where one feels safe, serene.

Racing Through Paradise

Elegantly rustic and warmly hospitable, Querencia has five guest rooms with private entrances from spacious decks, each with magnificent views of theAbsaroka, Gallatin and Crazy Mountains. Three tiled bathrooms with showers are private or semi-private. Querencia features radiant floor heat with individual thermostats and Douglas Fir floors throughout. Beds are queen size or twin. We can accommodate a corporate retreat, wedding or family reunion.

Welcome To The Gibson -Cassidy

House Inn

The Gibson-Cassidy House is a newly renovated, historic, 1912, three-story house in the small, rural town of Clyde Park, in south central Montana.

Each room of the house has been beautifully furnished and decorated to create a gracious atmosphere of yesterday's charm with today's conveniences. The spacious rooms, the stained glass, open stairway, tastefully papered walls and handmade quilts lend themselves to the creation of each room being unique, but consistently homey and comfortable.

Many of the antique furnishings and decorative pieces have been created - provided by the local artists, as well as myself. These items are available for sale, not only to guests of the the Gibson-Cassidy House, but also to the public.

"I am proud and I am blessed to have the facilities to be able to share Montana and Montanan hospitality with you - I know you will be pleased."

Nancy

Monster Lake

It's 7:00 a.m. on a summer morning just South of Cody, Wyoming.  The sun is low on the eastern horizon,  gentle waves are lapping at the lake front., a mule deer is grazing in the yard.  A hatch is rising from the lake, and you can hear a Sandhill Crane screeching in the distance.  Your cup of coffee is hot and strong, and you think you could be the only person in paradise.

You just woke up from a restful sleep in one of Monster Lakes comfortably appointed log homes, smelled the coffee brewing, and walked the few steps to the lake shore.  What a way to start the day.

Monster Lake offers seven different lodging units with a variety of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate welcome visitors.  All are a short walk to the pristine lake front and all that it offers.  We have no minimum stays, but you won't see it all in one day.  We suggest at least a three day stay to see all Monster Lake and the adjoining Cody Country has to offer.

Five of our units have cooking and dining facilities.  Two are two-room suites with no cooking.  Choose the facility that fits your group needs and start every day in western solitude and luxury at Cody Country's Monster Lake Ranch.
